Wilson, 41, of Murphy, N.C. and a former Roman, died in a Murphy hospital Friday. He had been confined in the hospital for only two weeks and his death came as a great shock to his family and friends. Born in Floyd County on July 31, 1917, he was the son of W. J. and the late Lillie Green Wilson and was a former employe of the Royal Crown Bottling Company. He moved to Murphy six years ago and was an employe of the Pure Oil Company. Surviving are his wife, the former Eleanor White; one son, William Gregory Wilson, Murphy; father, W. J. Wilson, Armuchee, and one sister, Mrs. Vivian Landers, Armuchee. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the First Methodist Church at Murphy. Graveside services will be held at 5:30 p.m. today at the graveside in East View Cemetery in Rome. The Rev. E. S. Morris, pastor of the New Armuchee Baptist Church will officiate. Friends wishing to attend the graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery at 4:45 p.m. today. The Jackson-Frasier Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements. (Note: Died July 25, 1958)
