Yarbrough Funeral services for J.D. Yarbrough were to be held at 4 p.m. today in the chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe L. Vernon officiating. Interment was to be in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Dwyatt Dempsey, Clyde Colllier, Lamar Chapman, R.C. Quarles, Homer Masters and F. C. Dougherty. Mr. Yarbrough was a native of Floyd County, born on June 6, 1911, son of the late Newman and Elizabeth Kennedy Yarbrough. He had resided in Floyd his entire life and was associated with the Hanks- Saunders Wholesale Grocery for over 25 years. He was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, the former Charlcie Wilson, to whom he was married Oct. 7, 1933; two sons, H. Leroy Yarbrough of San Antonio, Texas, and Dale W. Yarbrough of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Edgar Yarbrough of Armuchee, Carl Yarbrough of Calhoun, and Henry Yarbrough of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Marrow of Rome, Mrs. Winston Conway of Covington and Mrs. Newton Sanders of Armuchee.
