The inscription is in Italian with the English translation on a seperate placque. Additional Comments: The Capitoline Wolf is in front of the City Hall and Auditorium. It has been the source of some controversy - when Italy declared war on the Allies in 1940 the statue was removed and locked away. It was put back in front of the City Hall in 1952.
