This indenture made and entered into this the 29 day of Dec eighteen hundred 
and thirty four  between (Dec 29, 1834) between John Wigley of the county and 
state aforesaid of the one part and George Woodliff of the county of Forsyth 
and state afore said of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said John Wigley, for and in consideration of the sum of 
$100  one hundred  dollars, in hand paid, by the said George Woodlieff  hath 
this day granted,  bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents doth 
grant bargain sell and convey until the said George Woodliff, his heirs and 
assigns...that tract or parcel of land in County of Forsyth and  known ..in 
plan of said district by lot number (1257) twelve hundred and fifty seven 
containing Forty acres more or less and for the consideration of the sum above 
mentioned, I john Wigley bind myself, my heirs and assigns unto the said George 
Woodliff his heirs ,  executors and administrators and assigns will forever 
warrant and defend ... against himself and against all claims of all other 
persons whatsoever. 

In witness whereof I, we hath hereunto our  hands and seals the day first 
within written.
