Jones, Storeville Post Office, enlisted May 9, 1861 in 14th GA Inf. Born July 15, 1842, resident of GA since 1854. He was sick in Jany 1862 and taken to a hospital in Richmond, Va. with a severe cough and chronic bronchitis. Application dates: March 2, 1898 through Jany 2, 1906, 1907. Jones died Jany 15, 1918, widow Eliza applied Aug 11, 1917. and Jany 24, 1918 under Pension Act of 1910. Witnesses: Henry L. Patterson, same command (I was one of the boys who surrendered with Gen. Lee") L.H. Hope, W. Cantrell (same company), and A.C. Bell who was in service with Jones.
