North Georgian, October 15, 1920

Mr. Elia S. Harris, another one of Forsyth County's prominent citizens, and who
had been in poor health for some time, died at his home near town Monday
morning. Mr. Harris served Forsyth county faithfully and well for several terms
as Tax Collector, was an active Old Fellow and church member. He was about 65
years old and is survived by several children, his wife having preceded him to
the better land several years ago. He was buried in Cumming Cemetery Tuesday
morning, by the Old Fellows, after funeral services at the Baptist church,
conducted by the Rev. FT Wills.
