MORTUARY.

Flowery Branch, Ga., May 14-
Mrs. M. B. Rice died Friday mornig at her home in Flowery Branch of pneumonia.  
She was the wife of M. B. Rice, who represented his county in two terms in the 
legislature.  Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Benjamin and 
John Rice, of Flowery Branch; Erskine Rice, of the state university; Henry M. 
Rice, of Atlanta; two daughters Mrs. C. R. Allen, of Gainesville;  Mrs. Major, 
of Flowery Branch, and two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Wimpy and Mrs. H. M. Quillian, 
of Atlanta.

MRS. M. B. RICE IS DEAD.
Funeral Services Held in Bethel Church.
Mrs. M. B. Rice, aged 84 years, wife of Ex-Representative Rice, of Forsyth 
county, died at her home near Florida [sic] Branch last Friday.  Death was 
caused by pneumonia.
The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence R. Allen, of 
Gainesville, Ga., and Mrs. Major Nickles, of Cummings [sic], Ga., and by four  
sons, Benjamin M., John, Henry M., and Erskin Rice. She also leaves two 
sisters, Mrs. E. J. Wimpy and Mrs. H. M. Quillian, both of Atlanta.
Mrs. Rice was a mother of the highest principles and strongest Christian 
character.  The great estimation in which she was held by her neighbors was 
evinced by the crowsd which attended her funeral held in the Bethel church.  
Rev. Robert Thompson and Rev. H. M. Quillian conducted the services.  The 
interment was in the Bethel churchyard by the side of her late mother, Mrs. 
Nancy M. Smith.
