Court Of Ordinary, 1807-1813 Written: November 1811 At a Court of Ordinary held in and for the County of Franklin - - November Term Eighteen Hundred and Eleven. The petition of Rubin Thornton humbly showth that Jack Hendrix late of the County aforesaid decd on the fifth day of January Eight Hundred and Five made his certain Bond in Writing in the form following -- State of Georgia, Franklin County) Articles of Agreement made and concluded between I Jack Hendrix of the one part and County and State aforesaid and John Harey of the State and County aforesaid of the other party, Witnessth that I the said I Jack Hendrix do bind my self my heirs and assigns in the Just and full sum of Five Hundred and Fifty Dollars to which payment will and truly to be made I bind my self my Heirs and assigns. - - The Condition of the above Bound I Jack Hendrix is such that if the said Jack Hendrix do make a good and Lawful title to the half of the Tract of Land or Bounty he now lives on beginning at a pine corner near the Herecon runing nearly East to Cherry Corner where Thomas Thornton now lives Anglin of the Survey dividing Said Survey Equal then the above obligation to be void and of no effect otherwise remain in full force and virture in Law in Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal the Fifth Day of January 1805. /Signed/ Jack (his mark) Hendrix.
