State of Georgia--

This Indenture made this nineteenth Day of November in the
year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred Eighty Seven,
the Twelfth year of the Independence of the United States of
America, between Nathan Barnett, Planter Presidentures of
the County of Wilkes and State of Georgia of the one part &
Solomon STRICKLIN residenture of the County and State
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Nathan
Barnett for & in consideration of the sum of seventy-five
pounds Ster. sum of money of the said State to me in Hand
paid by the said Soloman STRICKELIN at or before the seal &
delivery in of these presents the accepted whereof is hereby
acknowledged and granted, trans***, sold, retained and
confirmed and by these presents grant, sell, release and
confirm unto the said Solomon STRICKELIN, his Heirs ans
Assings, Two Hundred and Fifty Acres of land being part of a
tract of Five Hundred Seventy Five acres beginning at a Red
Oac running then N. 12 E 30 ch. to a Black Gum thence N. 70
NE 82 chains 12 links to a stake H. etc. Elijah Strong,
three S 12 W 30 chains 50 links to said Oak thence S 70 E 82
chains 12 links to Red Oak corner at the beginning
originally granted Nathan Barnett berring date the twenty
first day of June One Thousand seven Hundred and eighty four
lying in FRANKLIN COUNTY & State aforesaid on Bigg Shole
Creek bounded Southward by the Unknown & and the other side
by Vacant Land when surveyed together with all and singular
the Right members and appertenances thereof whatsover to the
said Tract of land being belonging to in anywiseappertaining
& the remainders accursions prints Issues profitts therefrom
of every past thereof to have and to hold the said Tract of
Land and all and singular the premisses and appertenances
thereunto belonging as afresaid to every part thereof unto
the said Solomon STRICKELIN his heirs and assigns To the
only proper use benefit and behalf of the said Solomon
STRICKELIN his heirs and assings forever and the said Nathan
Barnett and his heirs and all and every other Person or
Persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend
by these presents.  

In Witness whereof the said Nathan Barnett having hereunto
his Hand ans seal the Day & Year above written and Signed
seal and delivered in the presence of us.

Georgia, State of Georgia, Wilkes County, This day Lucy
Barnett wife of the within named Nathan Barnett came before
me & did  without the treats of persuasions of her said
freely & voluntarily relinquished her right of Dower to the
within mentioned land to Solomon STRICKLIN, given and in my
Hand this 22nd Day of June 1789,

Rec'd the Day and year within written of & from the within
sworn Soloman STRICKLIN the sum of Seventy Five pounds Ster.
being the consideration money mentioned to be paid by him to
me, I S*** rec'd this 10th Day of Nov 1787,
