This Indenture made this twenty third day of January
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and thirty eight between Asa Belamy of the County &
State aforesaid of the one part and Lucy Belamy of
the Same Place of the other part Witnesseth that the
said Asa Belamy  for and in consideration of the sum
of three hundred and twenty five dollars to him in
hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and
conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell
and convey unto the said Lucy Belamy her heirs and
assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate
lying and being in the County of Franklin situate in
the Middle fork of Broad river adjoining to William
Crow John H Th___ and others beginning at a poplar
Corner Thence South 10 E 72 chains to Black oak
Thence North 80 Chains to ___ (sic) Thence e 29. 31
links to a Corner Thence N 10. W 65 to a Dogwood on
said river Thence up said river to a stake  Thence S
81 chains W 77.5 to the Beginning being part of a
tract originally _____ (sic) to Samuel Hunter, also
one other tract containing fourteen acres more or
less adjoining to the above described tract of land
beginning at a Pine  Thence N 80 - 60-25  Chains to
a Black gum.  Thence 105 chains 50 links to a stake 
Thence S 10 6 to a stake on south line of original
Survey also one other tract adjoining the same tract
containing 21 acres more or less Beginning at Black
gum Corner Thence NW to a Beach Corner near said
river and thence up said River to the mouth of a
Branch.  Thence up said Branch to a white oak corner
near said Branch Thence to a stake corner from
Thence  Thence Bounding with Finsters land to Arons
corner and from Thence to beginning the three tracts
containing two hundred and thirty five acres more
or. 

To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land
unto him the said Lucy Belamy her heirs and assigns
together with all and singular the rights members
and appurtinances thereof to the same in any manner
belonging to her and their own proper use benefit
and behoof forever in fee simple   And the said Asa
Belamy for him self his heirs Executors and
Administrators the said bargained premises unto the
said Lucy Belamy her heirs and assigns will warrant
and forever defend the right and title thereof
against themselves, and against the claim of all
other persons whatever

In Witness whereof the said Asa Belamy hath hereunto
set his hand and seal the day & year above written
