This Indenture made this Seventeenth day of december in the year of our
 Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty three between Pleasant Bellamy of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Asberry F Gillespie of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said Pleasant Bellamy for the consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the Sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted  bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these presents Grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Asberry F Gillespie his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land Situate Lying and being in the County aforesaid on the waters of Nails Creek containing Sixty two acres and fifty five rods adjoining land of Tomas and others beginning at a chestnut X running N 32 W 48 to a Black Oak X thence N 65 E 10 to a White Oak X thence S 53 E 27 to a Poplar Stump X thence S 25 W to a White Oak X thence S 1 E to a chestnut X thence S 70 W to beginning corner to have and hold said tract or parcel of Land unto him the Said Asberry F Gillespie his heirs and assigns together with all and singular its rights members and appertenances there of to the same in any manner belonging to his and there own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple     And the said Pleasant Bellamy for himself his heirs Executors and administrators the said bargained premises will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever in witness whereof the said Pleasant Bellamy hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written
