This Indenture made this 12th day of March in the
year of our Lord one 
thousand Eight hundred & nine teen Between Stephen Chatham of the one part & Groves Yarbrough of the  other part both of the State & County aforesaid  Witnesseth that the said Stephen Chatham for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars the rect  herein acknowledged have granted bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain sell and unto Groves Yarbrough all that Tract or parcel of Land hereafter Described Beginning at a Birch corner near the Bank of Middle Broad River Runing thence a Direct Line to a Spanish Oak 3X thence a Direct Line with the Cours of the fence until it Strikes the Back Line of J. Ryans Survey this with said Line W to a Post Oak 3X thence N 14 chs to P.O. 3X thence to a Pine 3X near the P.O. thence to the Beginning Birch the same being Thirty acres more or less and being part of a Tract originally granted to Joseph Ryan Together with all and singular the rights members Hereditements and appertainences thereunto Belonging and I do hereby bind my self my heirs Executors and administrators to warrant & forever Defend the Land & premises aforesaid unto the said Groves Yarbrough his heirs executors and administrators against the claim of any person whatsoever __onging the same or any part thereof witness my hand & seal the Day first written  Signed in presence of

being duly sworn saith that he saw Stephen Chatham
Sign Seal & Deliver this  Deed of conveyance and
that James Yarbrough was also a subscribing witness
Together with himself sworn to this 29th Feby 1820
