All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Robert Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net August 5, 2003, 7:05 pm Written: February 23 1811 Recorded: May 23 1811 Nathaniel & Milla Payne to David Slone Sr., 23 February 1811 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book T, left-hand page of folio 186: State of Georgia This Indenture made this twenty third day of February in the year of our lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eleven, Between Nathaniel Payne of the County of Franklin & State aforesaid of the one part and David Slone Sen'r of the State of South Carolina and District of Pendleton of the other part; Witnesseth that the said Nathaniel Payne for and in consideration of the Sum of two hunmdred dollars to him in hand paid by the said David Slone at or before the Sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Granted, bargained, Sold, released and confirmed and by these presents doth Grant Bargain Sell release and confirm unto the said David Slone his heirs and assigns all that Tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres, be the same more or less, situate lying and being in the County of Franklin and State of Georgia on Togalo [right-hand page of folio 186] River, It Being the part of a four hundred acre survey Granted to Thomas Payne Sen'r that lies Below Paynes Creek and on the said River Togalo Including the Improvement where Thomas Payne son of the Said Nathaniel Payne now lives-- Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said tract or parcel of land to have and hold the said Bargained land and premises unto the said David Slone his heirs and assigns for ever, and I the said Nathaniel Payne for my self my heirs and assigns and against all and every other person or persons shall warrant and will forever defend.
