All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Robert Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net August 7, 2003, 8:28 pm Written: March 8 1811 Recorded: April 29 1811 Poyndexter Payne to Kenneth McKenzie, 8 March 1811 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book T, left-hand page of folio 167: Georgia ) This Indenture made this Eighth day of March in the Year Franklin County ) of Our lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eleven between Poyndexter Payne of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Kenneth McKenzie of the District of Pendleton and State of South Carolina of the other part; Witnesseth that the said Poyndexter Payne for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred [right-hand page of folio 167] Dollars to him in hand Paid by the Said Kenneth McKenzie at or before the Sealing and Delivering of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, Sold Conveyed, & Confirmed, & by these presents do bargain Sell Convey & Confirm unto the said Kenneth his heirs & assigns for ever, all that tract or parcel of land Containing Fifty five acres Situate in said County of Franklin on the Middle fork of Broad river it being part of a certain tract of land Granted unto Thomas Payne whereon Oliver Cleveland now resides, begining at a post Oak Corner on the North end of said tract of land thence runing west to the Dividing line between Cleveland Payne and said Clevelands land thence down said line for Compliment together with all & Singular Wrights members benefits advantages Rents Issues & Profits thereupon and every part thereof unto the s'd McKenzie his heirs and assigns forever from the claim of all person or persons whatsoever In fee simple.
