The right-hand pages bear the folio numbers, and the right-hand page of folio 74 has been bound in the book after the right- hand page of folio 75. At first glance, the beginning of this deed appears to be on the left-hand page of folio 75; and the deed appears to be missing its second page. Its second page is in the book on what was originally numbered as the right-hand page of folio 74. Turn the page numbered 75, and there is the page numbered 74 with the rest of the deed on it.] Georgia ) Know all men by these presents that I William Lacy of the Franklin County ) County and State aforesaid do by these presents relinquish and quit claim of and to a certain Tract or parcel of land or all the part of the Tract of Land that John Payne late of this County Deceased lived on lying and Being in the County and State aforesaid on Shoal Creek that I have any claim to as an heir of the said John Payne Dec'd unto Nancy Payne wife of the said John Payne Dec'd of said county and her heirs etc. for ever it being the whole of the said Tract that I the said William Lacy have any claim now to [right-hand page of folio 74] or ever may have hereafter as an heir of the said John Payne Dec'd Together with all and Singular the rights members and appertenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the premises aforesaid and the said William Lacy do by these presents Relinquish and quit claim to, and I the said William Lacy will warrant and for ever defend the said Tract or parcel of land unto the said Nancy Payne and her heirs and assigns for ever from the claim of the William Lacy his heirs & assigns for ever In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 26th day of January 1809 Signed Sealed and delivered In presence of us ) Zebediah Payne ) William Lacy (seal) Moses Payne ) State of Georgia ) Personally appeared Moses Payne before me and being duly Franklin County ) Sworn deposeth and Saith that he the deponent Saw William Lacy Sign and Seal the above-- Sworn to before me this 30th of December 1809 Moses Payne Robert Walters J.P.
