Cleveland to Dudley Jones, 2 November 1811 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book TT, left-hand page of folio 38: Georgia This Indenture made the second day of November in the year eighteen hundred and Elleven Between Oliver C Cleveland of the County of Franklin and State aforesaid of the one part and Dudley Jones of the aforesaid State and County of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Oliver C. Cleveland for and In consideration of the sum of Seven Dollars well and truly to him in hand paid the repct whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained [right-hand page of folio 38] Sold released & confirmed & by these presents doth grant bargain sell release & convey unto the said Dudley Jones his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land containing Seven Acres be the same more or less lying and being in the County & State aforesaid on the west side of the middle fork of broad river being part of the plantation the said Olliver now lives on. Begining on Original line of Thomas Paynes on a white oak corner thence along Cawthrons original line to a branch of broad river thence down said brance to the river thence up the Said river untill it Strikes Paynes line thence along Said line to the begining corner which said tract of land is part of a survey originally granted to William Cauthon. to have and to hold the said tract of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Dudley Jones his heirs and Assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the Said Dudley Jones his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Oliver the said tract of land and every part thereof against himself and his heirs and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents-- In witness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands & Seal the day and year first above written. Cleveland Sign Seal and deliver the within deed of conveyance to Dudley Jones and that he himself was a Subscribing witness and also Saw Seth Strange and Obediah Ayers Sign their names as Subscribing witness Sworn to and Subscribed before me this 14th day of December 1811-- Baker Ayers W.
