Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net September 3, 2003, 12:20 am Written: December 10 1797 Recorded: July 1 1799 John & Nancy Payne to Samuel Payne, 10 December 1797 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book N, left-hand page of folio 41: This Indenture made this tenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven between John Payne one of the heirs of Thomas Payne deceased of the County of Franklin and State of Georgia of the one part and Samuel Payne of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Payne for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Payne the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Given Granted Bargained & Sold and by these presents doth Give Grant Bargain and Sell Alienate and Confirm unto the said Samuel Payne all that tract or parcel of Land lying and being in Franklin County on the Middle fork of Broad River containing by estimation Ninety two Acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows to wit, adjoining William Payne below and Jacob White above and also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and re- [right-hand page of folio 41] mainders Rights Interests claims and demands whatsoever of him the said John Payne of in and to all that tract or parcel of Land and premisses and every part thereof To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land and all and Singular the said premisses above mentioned with the appurtenances unto the said Samuel Payne his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of the said Samuel Payne his heirs and assigns for ever and the said John Payne and Nancy his wife for themselves and their heirs the said Tract or parcel of Land and premisses and every part thereof against them their heirs and assigns unto the said Samuel Payne his heirs and assigns for ever shall and will Warrant and for ever defend In Witness whereof we the said John Payne and Nancy my wife hath hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and de ) John Payne (L.S.) livered in presence of ) her Moses Payne J.P.
