Moses & Jane Payne to Joshua Hudson, 6 September 1796

Franklin County   )   This Indenture made this sixth Day of September in the 
year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and ninety six Between Moses Payne 
& his Wife Jane of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Joshua 
Hudson of the said County and State of the other part Witnesseth that the said 
Moses Payne and Jane his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of one 
Hundred and sixty Dollars to them in Hand paid the Receipt whereof

is hereby acknowledged hath Granted Bargained and Sold and by these Presents 
doth Give Grant Bargain Sell and Confirm unto the said Joshua Hudson his Heirs 
and assigns all that Tract or parcel of Land lying on the South side of the 
Grove River adjoining Wm Thomas below and John Sandidge above Beginning on a 
Poplar on the Bank of said River Thence S. 15 W. to a hickory corner Thence N. 
75. W. 53 chains to a Red Oak Thence N. 75. E. to a Hornbeam on the Bank of 
Grove River Thence down said River as it Meanders to the Beginning-- 
containing eighty acres more or less being part of a Tract of two Hundred 
Acres Granted to Thomas Payne and the said Moses Payne and his Wife Jane doth 
for themselves and their Heirs Warrant and for ever defend the above sold Land 
and Premisses with every part & Parcel thereof unto the said Joshua Hudson and 
his Heirs & assigns for ever from the Claim and Demand of every Person or 
Persons whatever in fee Simple  In Witness whereof the said Moses Payne & his 
Wife Jane hath hereunto set their hand & seal the Day & year above Written
