Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net September 17, 2003, 1:02 am Written: December 2 1816 Recorded: April 12 1817 Nancy Payne to John Payne Sr., 2 December 1816 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book HH, left-hand page of folio 102: Georgia ) This deed made and entered into this Second day of Franklin County ) December in the year eighteen hundred and sixteen Between Nancy Payne of the one part and John Payne sen'r of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five dollars to her in hand well and truly paid, at and before the execution of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, sold conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do bargain, Sell, convey and confirm unto him the said John Payne sen'r his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land containing fifty five acres be the same more or less lying and being in said county on the South Side of the middle fork of Broad River being part of a tract of land originally granted to Thomas Payne Jr. and bounded by said John Paynes land, it being the said Nancys proportionable part of said tract of land as one of the Legatees of Thomas Payne Jr. deceased Together with all and Singular the said tract or parcel of land and premises with all woods, ways, waters, mines, minerals and other priviledges and appurtenances to the same being or in any wise incident or appertaining unto him the said John Payne sen'r his heirs Executors administrators and assigns from her the said Nancy Payne her heirs Executors, administrators or assigns and from every other person or persons whatsoever she the said Nancy Payne will warrant henceforth and forever defend in fee Simple In Witness whereof she hath hereunto set [right-hand page of folio 102] her hand & affixed her seal on the day and year first above written.
