Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net September 23, 2003, 8:25 pm Written: August 27 1790 Recorded: May 25 1791 John & Anne Payne to Joseph Sinclair, 27 August 1790 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book C, left-hand page of folio 94: State of Georgia This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of August, in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and ninety, Between John Payne Senior & his wife of the County of Franklin of the one part, and Joseph Sinclair of the said County of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Payne Senior and Anne his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds Sterling money to them in Hand paid by the said Joseph Sinclair before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Granted Bargained Sold, and by these presents Do Give, Grant, Bargain and Sell and Confirm enfeoffed unto the said Joseph Sinclair his Heirs and assigns for ever in fee Simple all that Tract or parcel of land situate lying and being on the said County of Franklin on Eastonolla Creek containing by Estimation Two Hundred Acres (be the same more or less) Butting and bounding on all sides by vacant Land at the time of the Original Survey, thereof which will more fully appear reference being had to a plat annexed to a Grant for the same to the said John Payne by the Hon. Edward Telfair esquire Governor etc. dated the fourth Day of February 1786 Registered in Secretaries office in Book H.H.H. fol. 47 the 10th Feb'ry 1786 Together with all and Singular the rights members and appertenances thereof whatsoever to the said Tract of Land being belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Remainders Rents Issues & profits thereof and of every part thereof unto the said Joseph Sinclair his Heirs and assigns for ever and the said John Payne and Anne his wife for themselves and their Heirs the tract of land and premis- [right-hand page of folio 94] ses aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Joseph Sinclair his Heirs and assigns against them the said John Payne Senior and Anne his wife and their Heirs and all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever Defend by these presents.
