Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net October 16, 2003, 9:20 pm Written: April 4 1805 Recorded: April 10 1805 Stephen & Yannaca Hews to Aaron Arnold, 4 April 1805 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book P, right-hand page of folio 18: This Indenture made the fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & five Between Stephen Hues and Yannaca his wife of the County of Franklin and State aforesaid of the One part and Aaron Arnold of the County and State aforesaid of the Other part, Witnesseth, that the said Stephen Hues and Yannaca his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars lawfull money of said State to him in hand paid by the said Aaron Arnold at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged granted bargained, sold, released & confirmed, and by these presents, doth grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm unto the said Aaron Arnold his heirs and assigns, All that tract or parcel of Land, Containing sixty acres more or less, Situate lying and being on the South side of the middle fork of Broad River in the County and State aforesaid it being part of a certain tract of Land granted to William Cawthon, butting & bounding by William Aarons John Forrester, Polley Payne and John Paynes land; Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said tract of Land, being [left-hand page of folio 19] belonging or in any wise appertaining; and the remainders, reversions rents issues and profits thereof and of every part thereof. To have and to hold the said tract of Land and all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Aaron Arnold his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Aaron Arnold his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Stephen Hews & Yannaca his wife for themselves and their heirs the tract of Land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Aaron Arnold his heirs and assigns, against them the said Stephen Hews & Yannaca his wife, for themselves and their heirs and all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever shall & will warrant and forever defend the said land and premises by virtue of these presents In Witness whereof the said Stephen Hues & Yannaca his wife hath hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year first above written--- Signed sealed & Delivered ) his In presence Of --- ) Stephen S Hews (seal) Test ) mark John Forrester ) her Jacob Loughridge ) Yannaca S Hews (seal) Sam'l Payne J.
