William Robison power of attorney to Thomas Payne, 11 February 1799 

Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book N, right-hand page of folio 58:

Georgia          )   Know all Men by these presents that I William Robison of 
Franklin County  )   the County and State aforesaid do constitute and appoint 
my friend Thomas Payne my lawfull attorney for me and in my name to make a 
good and lawful Title to a certain tract of Land in said County Surveyed in 
the name of said Robison containing ninety seven acres be the same more or 
less adjoining William Cawthon on the one side and Benjamin Thrasher on the 
other and I do further request my said Attorney as soon as the Grant for said 
Land should be brought him to make James McClain or any Person the said 
McClain should order a good and A good Title to the above mentioned premisses 
in my name and for me as tho I myself were personally present signed with my 
seal and dated this 11th of February 1799
