Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net October 28, 2003, 7:48 pm Written: December 20 1798 Recorded: July 5 1799 Nathaniel & Milley Payne to Samuel Pruit, 20 December 1798 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book N, left-hand page of folio 61: State of Georgia ) This Indenture made this twenty day of December in the Franklin County ) year one Thousand seven hundred and ninety eight between Nathaniel Payne and Milley his wife of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Samuel Pruit of the other part Witnesseth that the said Nathaniel Payne for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Pruit the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Given Granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth Give Grant Bargain and sell all that tract or parcel of Land and premisses and every part thereof lying on the South fork of broad River containing one hundred acres be the same more or less it being the upper part of a certain tract containing two hundred acres of Land Granted to Nathaniel Payne the fourth day of February in the year eighty six bounded on all sides by Benjamin Thrasher and John Sandidge-- Together with all the reversion and Reversions remainder and remainders Rights Interest Claim and demand whatsoever [right-hand page of folio 61] of or belonging to that Tract or parcel of Land or premisses and every part thereof to the said Samuel Pruit his heirs or assigns To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land and premisses with the Appurtenances unto the said Samuel Pruit his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of the said Samuel Pruit his heirs and assigns for ever and against all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and for ever defend the aforesaid premisses-- In Witness whereof we Nathaniel Payne and Milley my Wife have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and date above written Signed sealed ) and delivered ) Nath'l Payne (L.S.) in presence of ) her John Walters ) Milley X Payne (L.S.)
