Thomas Payne to Robert Walters, 19 January 1828

Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book BB, left-hand page of folio 136:

Georgia         )   Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Payne late of 
Franklin County )   Habersham County and state aforesaid do by these presents 
relinquish and Quit claim of and to my part of a certain tract or parcel of 
land which is my part of the thirds of land where the widow Nancy Payne lived 
and died late of this County deceased which is all my part of said tract or 
parcel of land unto Robert Walters of the County of Franklin and state 
aforesaid for the sum of Twenty three $ to me in hand paid which receipt I do 
hereby acknowledge Together with and Singular the rights members and 
apputainiances all that tract or parcel of 
[right-hand page of folio 136]
land belonging or in any wise appertaining to the premises aforesaid unto the 
said Thomas Payne do by these presents relinquish and Quit claim to.  I the 
said Thomas Payne will warrant and forever the said tract or parcel of land 
unto the said Robert Walters his heirs and assigns forever the Claim of the 
said Thomas Payne his heirs and assigns forever.  In witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my seal this 19th day of ["December" is lined out.] January in 
the year of our Lord 1828

Franklin County )   sworn saith that he saw Thomas Payne sign seal and deliver

to & Subscribed before me this 9th of February 1828
