Meadows rwmeadows@charter.net November 25, 2003, 9:42 pm Written: August 24 1821 Recorded: January 22 1822 Darling B. & Jane House to Samuel Payne, 24 August 1821 Franklin County, Georgia, Deed Book B, right-hand page of folio 98: State of Georgia Franklin County Know all men by these presents that I Darling B House of Franklin County & State afforesaid in consideration of the sum of one hundred Dollars to me in hand paid By Samuel Payne of Franklin County Georgia the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, Bargained and Sold and released and by these presents do grant Bargain Sell and release unto the said Samuel Payne all that tract or parcel of land Containing Eighty acres more or less situate in the County afforesaid on the waters of the Middle fork of Broad River Bounding as follows on the said Samuel Payne on the East and James Haley on the west, Begining on Paynes line at a Conditional line between Asa Ayers and said Payne thence North to a post oak Corner thence west to the pole Bridge Branch on the Road Leading from the widow Martins to the Red Bank ford in the Middle River, thence Down said Road on the North side to a certain hickory corner on said Road, and then to the Begining corner &c.-- Together with all and Singular the rights members Heriditaments and appurtenances to the said premises Belonging or in any wise Incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said Samuel Payne his heirs and Assigns forever and I do hereby Bind myself my heirs Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said Premises unto the said [left-hand page folio 99] Samuel Payne his heirs and assigns against myself and against every other person lawfully Claiming or to Claim the same or any part thereof as witness my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of August In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one and in the forty fifth year of the Independence of the United States of America, Sealed Signed and Delivered in the presents of his Teste Clary Chatham Darling B X House (seal) Stephen Chatham J.
