Zebediah Payne to Polly Asscue, 13 March 1812

State of Georgia
    This Indenture made this thirteenth day of March in the year of our lord 
one thousand eight hundred and Twelve.  Between Zebediah Payne of the County 
of Bedford and State of Tennessee of the one part and Polly Asscu of the 
County of Franklin and State of Georgia of the other part:  Witnesseth that 
the said Z. Payne hath for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars to 
him in hand well and truly paid by the said P. Asscu at or before the sealing 
and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
hath granted bargained & sold released and confirmed and by these presants 
doth grant Bargain Sell release & confirm unto the said Polley Asscu her heirs 
and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lyin and being in the 
County of Franklin and State aforesaid on a brach of little Shoal creek contai 
one hundred acres more or less, begining at a post oak corner runing North 10 
East 30 chains to a red corner thence East 10 S. 30 chains to a white oak 
corner, thence S. 10 W. to a pine corner, thence W. 10 S. to the begining:  
Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances to the s'd 
tract of land and primicies and every part thereof unto the said Polly Asscue 
her heirs and assigns forever and the said Zebediah Payne for himself and his 
heirs and no further do warrant the s'd tract of land and primicies to the 
Said P. Asscue her heirs and assigns

seal the day & year above written

that he saw the within named Zebediah Payne duly Sign Seal & deliver the same 
as his act & deed & as such to be recorded & also saw Thos. Asscue subscribe 
his name as a witness thereto.  Sworn & Subscribed to before me.  This 18th 
Sept'r 1812
