I the said John Prewitt have granted bargained sold & released & by these presents do grant bargain & sell & release unto the said James Harrison all that Tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being on Webbs Creek in the State & County aforesaid containing Two hundred acres more or less beginning at a Stake Corner on the North Side of Webbs Creek running across the Creek N. 64. E to a white oak corner thence S. 15 E 5 chains & 80 links to a Post oak corner thence E. 35. chains to a Hickry Corner Thence N.39 W 40 chains to a white oak corner on the South side of Webbs Creek thence across the Creek to the Beginning Corner Together with all & singular the rights, members, hendetaments & appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining To have & to hold all & singular said premises unto the said James Harrison his heirs & assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself my heirs Executors & administrators to warrant & forever defend all & singular the premises unto the said James Harrison his heirs & assigns from & against myself my heirs Executors & administrators & assigns & all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Provided always nevertheless, and it is the true interest & meaning of the parties to these presents that if I the said John Prewitt do, & shall well & truly pay, or cause to be paid unto the said James Harrison the said debt or sum of money aforesaid with the interest thereon (if any shall be due) according to the true intent & meaning of said note & condition thereunder written, then this deed of bargain & sale shall cease, determine & be utterly null & void. Otherwise it shall remain in full force & virtue. And it is agreed by & between the parties, that John Pruwitt is to hold & enjoy the said premises until default of said payment shall be made --- Witness my hand & seal this thirteenth day of Febuary in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & forty Six, & in the seventieth year of the Sovreignty & Independence of the United States of America Signed Sealed & delivered John Prewitt LS In the presence of Frances E.
