The Carnesville Herald March 5, 1942
For several months Franklin county 4-H club members have been doing a splendid job 
of collecting scrap iron, burlap, paper, and old rubber, said County Extension 
Agent E.K. Davis this week.  He urged 4-H'ers to bring this collection drive to a 
climax on "MacArthur Day," March 7.
