White, 63, veteran railway worker who died Saturday at his home on the Ashville highway were conducted at 5:30 o'clock April 24th at the J.F. Floyd mortuary by Rev. O.K. Webb. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were T.M. Clarke, S.W. Jones, J.D. Lynch, Sr., Henry Gilmer, D.M. Burris, Frank E. Andrews, A.C. Maline and Frank Morrison. Mr. White was formerly a railroad man for the Central of Georgia and the Fruit Growers Express. For the past 32 years he had been employed by the Southern railway. Mr. White was a member of the Shoal Creck Baptist Church near Lavonia, Ga., a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen and belonged to the Spartan Lodge No. 70 of Masons. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie M. White, of Spartanburg; one daughter, Mrs. J.D. Lynch, Jr., of Spartanburg; one son, T. Edwin White of Spartanburg; one brother, O.D. White of Carnesville, Ga.; and two sisters, Mrs. Nan Walters and Mrs. Lucy Buffington, of Lavonia, Ga.---Spartanburg, S.C.
