Franklin County Citizen October 5, 1989
Lillie Dorough, a native of Canon, celebrated her 109th birthday on Sept. 12. She 
currently livers on North Decatur Road in Atlanta.

She was born in Canon on Sept. 12, 1880, the daughter of Seaborn and Eliza Jordan 
Westmoreland. She is the widow of Glenn Dorough.

Her philosophy of longevity?

"Clean living and a good sense of humor," she said two years ago. "I never drank, 
but I did chew tobacco when I was younger."

Dorough has four daughters and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 
great-great-grandchildren.
