The Carnesville Herald And Advance January 25, 1934
One of the best games of the season was played on the home court Saturday night 
when the Carnesville quintet met the Winterville quintet.

During the first half the Carnesville boys did very little scoring and as a result 
the score was 11-2 at the half in Winterville's favor. Winterville was still in 
the lead at the third quarter 12-7.

When the last quarter began the boys seemed to wake up and began shooting goals at 
every angle and when the whistle blew the game was Carnesville's, the score being 
15-13.

Scoring points for Carnesville were; Wasnley 6; Strickland 3; Whitlow 1; Mabry 1; 
Casey 4. Total 15.

For Winterville, Patterson 0; Hansford 9; Eidson 1; McCraig 0; Bryant 3. Total 13.
