The Carnesville Herald And Advance April 25, 1957
Mrs. Julian Harbin of Carnesville miraculously escaped serious injury when the car 
she was driving overturned on slick pavement just outside Carnesville on Lavonia 
Highway.

Mrs. Harbin, returning from work in Lavonia, escaped with bruises and shock. The 
car was badly damaged.

The car, she said, skidded on a wet curve, overturned and landed broadside against 
a utility pole. She was riding alone during a steady rain.

GSP Trooper R.C. McCracken investigated.
