The Carnesville Herald March 26, 1931
A meeting that will be of importance to every ex-service man in Franklin County 
will be held at Carnesville on the First Tuesday night in April at which time some 
of the high officials of the American Legion will be present to speak and explain 
in detail the bonus law, both old and new compensation laws and other things that 
many of the veterans are not familiar with.

Many members of the Commerce Post and the Hartwell Post will attend the meeting 
and it is destined to be one of the most important ever held in the county as far 
as the world war veterans are concerned.

A more detailed account of the meeting will be given next week. In the meantime 
tell all your buddies about it and have every ex-service man in the county 
present. The public is also invited.
