Lavonians are proud of the fact that one her sons, Sam Reynolds, was among the 
chemists who perfected the Atomic Bomb. Sam has worked as a chemist at Oak Ridge, 
Tenn., for some years and is given in the 1st of those who devised the new bomb.

Sam is the son of Mrs. Evie Reynolds of Fair View section. He attended school at 
Carnesville, later attended Emory University where he was an outstanding student 
in chemistry. He has been at Oak Ridge on a secret mission for some years.
