The Carnesville Herald And Advance May 4, 1944
Announcement was made this week of the marriage of Miss Ruth Hicks to Mr. Howard 
Davis. Their marriage was solemnized in Wahalla, S.C., on December 25th, of last 
year. 

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hicks of Lavonia. She is a graduate 
of Lavonia High School and attended North Georgia College at Dahlonega. For a year 
or longer she was employed at Camp Toccoa.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Davis of near Lavonia. He is a graduate of 
Lavonia High School and holds a responsible position with the LeTourneau Company 
of Toccoa.

For the present they are home with Mr. and Mrs. Hicks in Lavonia.
