The Carnesville Herald December 10, 1931
In the election held Wednesday Mr. Leland Gillespie was elected Mayor of 
Carnesville for 1932 together with the following councilmen: Messrs W. P. Ayers, 
Clyde Sullivan, E. A. Phillips, H. N. Little, and Emmett Brown. Very little 
interest was taken in the election, only a small number of votes being polled.

For the past year Mr. W. L. Little has served as Mayor and has made the city a 
splendid official.

We bespeak for the new officials the hearty cooperation of the citizens during 
the coming month for a year of achievements.
