The Carnesville Herald December 20, 1928
Monday afternoon as he was returning to Carnesville from Fairview school, where he 
is superintendent, Mr. R. L. Little received painful injuries when his auto turned 
completely over. According to Mr. Little and others who saw the accident, Mr. 
Little was hurrying home and threw up his hand at a friend near the road just as 
the car struck a pile of fresh dirt in the road causing it to turn over. Mr. 
Little received three broken ribs, a severe cut on the head and other injuries. He 
has since been confined to his bed but is slowly improving.
