May 4--The body of the world's largest negro, weighing 678 pounds, was buried last Tuesday at Belton, near here. It was that of James Finch, 26 years old, who died several days ago in New York. Finch who was born near here has been in New York several years advertising shoes. He wore a size 24 and his tailor said his suits were size 70. The negro undertaker handling the body said together with the casket it weighed more than than a thousand pounds and that he had to recruit fifteen pallbearers and three preachers for the service. Additional Comments: I don't like the description of this article, nor that it wasn't a respectful obituary, but I wanted Mr. James Finch to be remembered. He existed and he deserves to have his death recorded properly.
