The foot was sol badly mangled that it was necessary to have it amputated at Brown's hospital in Royston where he was rushed immediately after being found. The boy was out hunting near the home E.Z. McDuffie and evidently stumbled, causing the gun to fire and the full charge entered his leg just above the ankle. According to reports from the hospital he is rapidly improving and will probably be carried home the last of the week.
