The Carnesville Herald And Advance August 22, 1935
Miss Ida Brooks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reeves Brooks of Middle River, was 
severely injured in an automobile crash Sunday near Starrs Bridge. Mr. Jewel 
Sorrell was also severely bruised. Miss Brooks was carried to the Brown hospital 
in Royston, but recovered to the extent that she was able to return to her home 
Tuesday.

Both cars, a Model T and a new V-8 Ford, were considerably damaged.
