Franklin County Citizen, December 7, 1972
Royston--Mrs. L. D. Baker Sr., 71, died Monday at 1:30 a.m. in the Cobb Memorial 
Hospital following a two week illness.

She was born in Franklin County and was a daughter of the late Brack and Florence 
Putnam Lippe.

She was a member of the Royston Baptist Church.

Her husband was the late Leland Dixon Baker Sr.

Survivors include son, L. D. Baker Jr. of North Augusta, two daughters, Mrs. Ross 
Barrett of Columbia and Mrs. Alfred Strickland of Royston; 11 grandchildren and 
six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Pruitte Funeral Home with the Rev. 
James Johnson officiating.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Pruitte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
