John Mark Battson Dies Unexpectedly

John Mark Battson passed away unexpectedly about 2 o'clock today at the home of 
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Battson, in Lavonia. He died of a heart attack.

He was a member of the Baptist church and was very popular in the community.

Mr. Battson served the Army Air Forces for over two years and was in the Pacific 
theatre.

He is survived by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Neal Whitworth and Mrs. Howard 
Morgan, both of Lavonia.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by the Weldon Funeral Home.
