Kenneth Deitle, the Rev. A.W. Harper and the Rev. A.C. Shealy officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers were B.V. Ogletree, Cecil Shackleford, Elton Belk, Henry Phillips, Walter Cromer, and Jesse Rice. Mr. Belk died at Cobb Memorial Hospital at 6 a.m. Tuesday following an illness of one week. He was a son of Hoyt Belk, Sr. and Inez Dudley Belk, who survive him, and spent all his life in this section. He was a veteran of World War II and served overseas. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, the Rev. Martin Belk, of Atlanta; one sister, Mrs. Charles Phillips, also of Atlanta.
