He died at the home on Saturday, December 17th, after a week's illness of pneumonia. He was 80 years old and had spent his entire long life in Franklin County where he was honored and revered. Funeral services were held at Hunters Creek church on Monday with Rev. George Thurmond officiating assisted by Rev. W. F. Scales and Rev. L. P. Webb. Interment was in Hunters Creek Cemetery. Mr. Bellamy was a member of Hunters Creek Baptist Church and was a true Christian gentleman, ever being ready to serve his Master in every way he could. He was a citizen of whom all were proud, being quiet and un assuming, yet doing whatever he could toward the betterment of his community, county and state. His passing removes one who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Bellamy is survived by his wife who, before marriage was, Miss Emma Paralee Kesler, and the following children, Mrs. Norman Brock, Mrs. J. T. Randall, Mrs. F. W. Carson, Mrs. C. B. Moore, Messrs. Adolphus Bellamy, Sam Jones Bellamy, Broughton Bellamy, Misses Janie, Lucy and Inez Bellamy. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Charity Ann Whiting. Pallbearers were: H. E. Kesler, Cecil Blackwell, Roy Lee Kesler, E. J. Whiting, W. T. Holcomb, J. G. Whiting. Honorary pallbearers were: W. M. Cash, F. A. Wilbanks, A. D. Stevenson, C. T. Miller, E. T. Akin, E. J. Kelley, J. S. Akin, T. M. Craig, Robert Frankum, Bud Akin, Robert Oliver and Paul Vandiver. The Herald joins hundreds of friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family. B. D.
