She was born in Franklin County, May 23, 1868, and lived there until her death. Her parents were David and Bathsheba Kesler. On January 6, 1887, she married John Wesley Bellamy, who preceded her to the grave ten years ago. She became a member of Prospect Methodist Church when she was a very young girl. She lived a beautiful Christian life, endeavoring always to do the things that were right. Because of ill health she was not permitted to attend church regularly, but she never lost her love for the church and God's people. Even during her illness, which she bore patiently, she was pleasant and had a kind word for everyone. Funeral services were conducted from Hunter's Creek Baptist Church, Saturday, September 11th at 3 o'clock with Rev. George Thurmond, Rev. Roy W. Melton, Rev. H. B. Free, and Rev. J. H. Crunkleton officiating. Interment was in the church yard cemetery. During the service Mrs. Fred Wilbanks sweetly sang "That Beautiful Home" which has been used at Bellamy funerals for three generations. Surviving her are seven daughters and three sons: Mrs. Norman Brock, Atlanta; Mrs. J. T. Randall, Mrs. F. W. Carson, Mrs. C. B. Moore all of Carnesville; W. A. Bellamy of San Francisco, Calif; Sam J.. Bellamy of Toccoa; Broughton Bellamy, Carnesville; Janie, Lucy, and Inez Bellamy of the home. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Maude Blackwell of Danielsville. Pallbearers were: Jaffree Brock, Norman Brock, Jr., Willie Maurice Randall, Jim Russ Randall,Brannon Burroughs, and Joe Carson. B. D. Ginn, Carnesville, GA.
