Katie Lee Griffith Bell, 55, of Carnesville, died Monday, December 13, 2004, 
at Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.

Born in Franklin County October 6, 1949, she was the daughter of the late 
Sewell Lee and Margie Elizabeth Smith Griffith. She was a homemaker and a 
Christian. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Dwayne Brown and a 
brother, William Lee Griffith.

Survivors include her husband, Michael L. Bell, Carnesville; a son, Timothy 
Rex Brown, Gainesville; sisters, Brenda Ann Truitt, Tignall, Reba S. Weed, 
Arnoldsville, Betty Dodd, Commerce, Mary Rowland Tiller, Elberton, Sara Lee 
Dale, Royston, and Annie Lou Epps, Dewy Rose; a brother, John R. Griffith, 
Bowman; two grandchildren; and best friend, Kathrine Smith, Lavonia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, at 2 p.m. at the Zidon 
Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Avant and Charles Elrod officiating. Burial 
will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at 
Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed at the church at 1:30 p.m. 
Thursday.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
