Franklin County Citizen, November 1966
Mrs. Roxie Parten Cape, 86, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Cobb Memorial Hospital 
after an illness of six weeks.

Mrs. Cape was a native of Franklin County, a daughter of the late Benjamin and 
Janie Dove Parten. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Her husband, the 
late Nathan Cape, died in 1927.

Survivors; two sons, Clifford Cape of the home and Leland Cape of Carnesville; two 
daughters, Mrs. Luvie Roach of Carnesville and Mrs. Lessie Perry of Royston; two 
brothers, Obe Parten of Royston and Bennett Parten of Carnesville; sister, Mrs. 
C.C. Phillips of Royston; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Methodist Church 
with Rev. Kenneth Coffman and the Rev. Hoyt Dove officiating. Burial was in the 
church cemetery.

Pallbears; Travis, George, Harold and Howard Parten, Tyrus and Odis Phillips.

Pruitte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
