Franklin County Citizen, October 1989
Greensboro, N.C.--A.C. Carey, 66, of 5510 Cascade Rd., husband of Mamie Phillips 
Carey, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 1989 in Greensboro.

Born in Franklin County, he was a son of the late Talmadge and Berdie Carithers 
Carey. He was retired from the tobacco industry and a World War 2 U.S. Army 
veteran.

Surviving are wife; daughter, Mrs. Myrion McCarrell of Greensboro; sons, Kalvin L. 
Carey of Butner, N.C. and Byron K. Carey of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Roberta 
Hargett and Mrs. Bessie McGrady of Royston; brother, Riley Carey of Danville, Va.; 
two grandchildren.

Services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Pruitte Funeral Home Chapel by the 
Rev. John Ingham. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemeterry.
