Clodfelter We, the committee appointed by Carnesville Lodge No. 186 F, & A.M. to draft resolutions on the death ob Brother E.S. Clodfelter, beg to submit the following: Brother E.S. Clodfelter was born January 25th, 1858 at Statesville, N.C. and December 24th, 1879 married Miss Addison in Franklin County Georgia. One son and two daughters blessed this union, who together with his companion survive our deceased brother. Early in life Brother Clodfelter united the Baptist church and remained a consistant member until his death. He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason by Carnesville Lodge No 186, and was buried with Masonic honors. It was the lot of our brother to be prominently associated in the affairs of men and he was three times honored by the people of Franklin County with the office of sheriff, the duties of which office he performed with the utmost fidelity. In public as well as private life he was the exemplar of all the virtues that go to constitute true Christain manhood. On Novemember 12th, 1909 Brother Clodfelter was called from earthly labor to the celestial lodge above, "Where, enlarged his soul shale see what was veiled in mystery; Heavenly glories of the place, show his Maker face to face." Resolved 1st. That the wife and children have lost a kind and affectionate husband and father; the community a kind and obliging neighbor; the county a loyal and upright citizen, and this lodge one of its most faithful and devoted members. Resolved 2nd. That we give sympathy to the bereaved relatives of our deceased brother and pray our Heavenly Father to look with tender compassion upon them, and soother their anguished hearts. Resolved 3rd. That a copy of these resolutions be furnished the family our deceased brother; that they spread upon our minutes; and that The Carnesville Advance be requested to publish them.
