Summary:  At age 70 Mrs. Mattie Emily Connelly [sic] died at home in Franklin 
County, of pneumonia.  She was a dedicated church woman from an early age.
Survivors include husband (W. D. Conally), a son by previous marriage, J. L. 
Whitfield, four sons by Mr. Conally Asa F., Henry G., Fred D. and Robert 
Connally; as well as three daughters, Mrs. W. L. Holbrooks [sic], Mrs. Emma 
[sic: Mrs. Emil] Holbrooks, and Mrs. A. B. Purcell.
She was buried at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Collins and Rev. 
Fulbright led the service.

Additional Comments:
Mattie Bush Conally was the daughter of William Freeman Bush and Athalene 
Emily Langston of Franklin Co., GA.  The Conallys made their home at Stranges, 
Georgia, on property believed to be divided from the original Hezekiah Bush 
property.
